Camco's 15' Rhino flex in a Scamp 13 bumper?

Expect to pick up my Scamp 13 in a few weeks and I am wondering if the 15' Rhino flex sewer hose I bought will fit into the Scamps 13 rear bumper? I believe the orange drain fitting will not fit. Any thoughts on this. I am not having their waste housing installed so I am looking for this alternative.

Thanks

The standard 2 foot slinky

The standard 2 foot slinky storage would not be big long enough for a 15 foot slinky hose, but if you use the 5x5 in. fence post sleeve or something like it, the width of the Scamp will accommodate it. Also, the straight connection or the 45 degree elbow will fit.

Hi Paul,

Hi Paul,

I was referring to storing the Rhino flex hose in the bumper on the back of the Scamp. Someone suggested that it might fit and I am inquiring if someone has done it or thinks that it will fit.

Also that 15' hose can compress to 56 inches, that's why it was suggested it might fit.

Hose holder

This holds both the original Scamp hose AND a RhinoFLEX Heavy Duty 10 foot hose (at the same time)  It is about the same length as the bumper fence post holders that I have seen.

Hi Gordon,

Hi Gordon,

Nice set up. Actually I am planning to do a temp install with a 5" x5' vinyl post when I pick up my Scamp and head to my first campground in Backus MN. When we return home after a planned trip to TX and back to MA I'll make it permanent.

Hose carrier size

Not sure if you're still around, but I'm interested in the brand and size carrier you went with for this.

Larger size carrier

Yes, thanks. That's what came installed under my Scamp. It is too short to be of much value. The previous poster shows one going across the full width of the trailer. That's what I intend to do and was just wondering what brand he went with.

Good choice

Mine would have had the white tube on the front so I declined it. I went to the 5 inch fence post under the tow vehicle because this new black tube was not yet available. Next tine I rip the fence post off the F150 I'm going to the shorter Valterra holder. (They have multiple  lengths)

Here is a link, they come in three different telescoping lengths. I don't remember which one I bought. Just measure the distance from port to starboard frame and get the one that will work. I think I got the short one but since they telescope you can go longer and cut the inside tube shorter.

Good luck.
