History of Scamp Owner's International (SOI)

In late January, 1999, eight Scamp Owners happen to meet at Highlands Hammock State Park in southern Florida near Sebring. After spending several days chatting about experiences in traveling with their Scamps, this small group decided to try publishing a newsletter for Scamp owners (and others who own little "eggs"). That following May the first issue of the SOI News was mailed out to about thirty Scamp owners. Thus, Scamp Owners International (SOI) was born!

In 2013 Scamp Owners International was transferred to "Egg Enthusiasts" Greg and Janea to carry forward. October of 2013, SOI launched a brand new website, created an online digital archive of SOI club newsletters back to 1999, moved the member directory online, added an owners forum, a travelogue, online resources, and an online store for club apparel. The SOI newsletter ended in 2015, but SOI Club Updates are sent to Lifetime Members throughout the year.

There have been annual gatherings of SOI Members at Highlands Hammock State Park for each year since that initial 1999 gathering and next years is already in the works Scamp Camp SE . In addition, we now have Scamp Camp Far West, Scamp Camp SW, and we now host the Quartzsite Gathering. The club has had past gatherings in Death Valley National Park, northern Michigan, Shenandoah National Park, VA and many other places all across the USA.

Come join the SOI adventures!  Basic and Lifetime SOI club memberships are available for all molded fiberglass trailer enthusiasts
