I just ordered a Suburban recessed glass cooktop enclosure from Amazon as they had 2 in the warehouse deals that I got one like new with damaged packaging for about half price, $58 reg $90. This enclosure allows you to recess the 2 burner suburban cooktop into the countertop.
If you have a Scamp with a Suburban 2 burner cooktop, you'd have to check dimensions for the cut in and depth, but this would be a really sweet upgrade allowing you to have a full countertop space when the stove is not in use.
I've wondered why scamp doesn't use the more updated sink/stove combo with glass tops that are on the newer rv's, i'd imagine the cost is what is preventing it. Dometic/smev makes really nice units.
Greg, do you have a silverware drawer under the stove? Looks like the stove will fight with the drawer if it is there, once it gets recessed in further down.
You'll need 5 1/8" clearance from the top of the counter to the bottom of the stove enclosure, so if you have a 13 Scamp with the drawer you'd have to 86 the drawer.
