Rear table replacement

I would like to replace the rear table in my 2013 scamp 19. Some kind of a laminate. Has any one done such a mod? a pic would be great.

  Thanks

Leo

I made our own replacement,

I made our own replacement, out of oak plywood.  Someone with modest carpentry skills could (quite easily) make you one with a laminate top.

Liquid Granite

If you look at this post it is a Liquid Gianni countertop process I have used on three trailers now.

https://www.scampowners.com/forums/liquid-granite-countertops

It will go over the formica on stock Scamp tables or countertops and can be used over the top of most materials to create incredible, very durable countertops that are easy to do.

Thank you all for your reply. Those are great Ideas. I hope to get this project done before camping season starts in Maine.

Table Top

Hello Leo,

I recently finished this exact project for my 1985 scamp. I built my table out of oak, I wanted it to match the counter I did for the kitchen area. I purchased the laminate from Home Depot. I then finished the edges with pieces of angled aluminum. I like the way it came out. youtube really helped with anything I had questions on. I really liked the ideas of adding the aluminum for the look I was going for as well as the added strength. Hope this helps!

New table

Your table came out great. Do to my cold garage in Maine and lack of proper tools I went the Lowe's route. They made a whole new table top. It's 3/4" thicker than the original but looks good. Now we would like to put a blind (from Lowe's) in the back window. I plan on  hanging it from the wood overhead cabinets. Thanks for the pics.

We will be attending the KOA rally in N.H.in May   Leo

Made one with some plywood,

Made one with some plywood, brass angle trim and some resin. It was nice but heavy.

Just replaced it with a half table - just plywood sanded and painted nicely :)

Half table, nice mod!

Very nice, Skych! Love the half table with seating for six: cocktail time! How do you convert that setup for bedtime?
