Brand New Battery

Thinking my new battery is toast. Somehow the electrical cord was in but not solidly in, so it did not charge on the road all day and then I left the 12v refrigerator on all night. Now I read 10.6 (red zone on 12v life chart). I'm guessing it's toast?

Brand New Battery?

It might still be OK. Let it charge overnight while plugged in to 110AC and see if a it holds a charge. Also, don't leave the fridge on 12V while parked. Use propane if not plugged in to AC. In most cases, the fridge uses more power than the tow vehicle can keep up with even while driving. Run 12V 2 hours on, two hours off while driving.

Battery Toast

Sue,

It is probably OK as indicated above. Usually, if you pull a battery down below 50% you will reduce the # of charge cycles over the life of the battery which of course will shorten how long the battery lasts. Being a new battery, it will probably charge up fine and go for several years though.

Thanks, Greg A. I've

Thanks, Greg A. I've discovered that my electrical from the car to the trailer is a loose fit so when I get it home, I'll go by the place I got the device installed to see if it can be a tighter fit. Some of the roads in Wyoming yesterday were bouncy (had to drive slower) but ZaZa got bounced a bit and I'm thinking that's where it came undone enough to cause the problem, but not enough to fall apart so I could tell I had a problem.

Hoping your adventures are wonderful,
Sue
