We picked up our 16 at the factory this past May so we are still new to everything and learning. We returned home from our most recent trip, and as now routine I plugged in the shoreline (into our garage outlet) and unloaded the trailer. The frig was empty and we had turned it OFF before we came home. The next day I went back to gather a few more items and found the frig full of condensation and the freezer compartment with frost building up inside. Yes, the stupid thing had been running on 110v all night with the door open.
Ok, so I checked the two control knobs which I had previously turned to the OFF positions. They both appeared to be in the correct OFF position as I had placed them. I thought perhaps I missed hearing a click or some indicator when I set them the day before but working with either one today didn't yield an answer to my mistake.
So is there a trick to this I am missing? Are the control knobs off in some way (no pun intended) leaving the impression I have them set correctly?
Just wondering if anyone else has had this type of issue.

ps. after adjusting the knobs trying to figure where I went wrong the frig finally turned off. (Once I confirmed it was off I unplugged it from under the sink to be safe.)
The frig works pretty good but lacks any outside indication its running on 110v or gas. I have never been able to see the 'flame' in the little window either and just know it works because it gets cold.
Try to look at the flame at night, at least you will know where to look. On my current frig I can only get a good look at the flame with a mirror or pulling a cover off. By looking at it at night I found a small sight line I can tell if the flame is lit. I can also see a flame reflection off the back of the frig.

Good idea. I have been using the 110v since it seemed reliable and the gas was a bit of a mystery not being able to view any flame. (I didn't want to wait an hour for the freezer to start to get cold or not to figure out it never lit properly.) I initially thought having the controls on the front of this frig would be more convenient than having to work on the back side to light a pilot but finding out different now.
After owning several several older front control Dometic 2310 friges. I just learned yesterday there is a flame sight window where you can look and see the flame from the front of the frig. (So they say.) Found that out by reading an old manual. With the frig. door open I can usually hear the flame when it first starts.
Looks like if you have a RM 2410 you have a flame viewing window.

Yep it has a little spot to view the flame on the front at the controls but I have never been able to view a flame. I had to take the vent cover off the back to hear the burner or feel the chimney to see if it was getting warm. I resorted to using electric rather than go through the exercise of trying to figure out if the burner was lit or not.
You think it would have been simple for the manufacturer to include a clearly visible indicator when the frig was working on gas or electric. :)
In my case it would have been nice to know the electric was still running when I parked mine at home.
