New Scamp 13' Order, Help Me Understand Pricing!

Hoping you all can help me.  Great forum by the way, been trolling for awhile, learned a bunch.  Will try and keep this short.  After nearly a year of failed attempts at finding a gently used Scamp, we are considering ordering a new 13' Standard.  Requested packet/price sheet from Scamp. Yesterday I was hunting around ebay for available Scamps (as usual) and came across a recently closed auction for a 2017 13' Deluxe/Bath.  They just happened to included a photo of their order/build sheet (1st photo below).  I was a bit surprised by the price, since the base price for a '17 deluxe on their sheet was around $2100 cheaper than the base Deluxe/Bath on my '18 price list (before options/2nd photo below).  Now from what I understand, the "Options Discount" (line 2 on sheet) is the 10% discount on the additional options added, that makes sense.  My question, is there an additional discount applied to the base price, or did the buyer of this particular trailer bargain a deal, or did the price simply increase a full $2100 in one model year?  The reason I ask, when I price out a fairly loaded 13' Standard/Bath (not fully loaded by any means), I get a price in the mid-$17's.  That's just a bit higher than I was expecting, and just a bit to close to an Escape 17' (around $21-22k with todays Canadian conversion rate).  But if there is some discount or wiggle room I am not realizing, to bring the price to Sub $15k, might make the decision a bit more clear.  One more question, I think I read in one of the posts, if you order a bath model that includes the Hot Water Heater, and then option the 2-way Heater, you only pay the difference.  So my math says $550-280=$270-10%=$243.00, is that correct?  Anyway, thanks for your help!

I have a price sheet in front

I have a price sheet in front of me that had been in use since at least 2016. It shows the base price for a Deluxe 13', front bath as $15,695. It appears that the new price list you show ($17,395) is a $1,700 increase. Since it has been at least two or three years since the prices have changed, and they have re-designed the door with an upgraded latch, have converted to upgraded stabilizer jacks, and, I believe are upgrading to a marine power plug (that many folks upgraded to after the fact) and, I believe upgrading to LED lights, this does not sound totally unreasonable. Not sure where the $15,295 price came from on the build sheet. Also, this past summer, they increased their workforce by about 20 employees in an attempt to decrease the wait time. This many new employees does add to their expenses significantly. They also made several improvements since the 2016 price list was published, that they have been absorbing throughout the last couple of years. Such as: New screen door, improved refrigerators, I believe an improved power converter. Upgraded power fan to MaxAir with incorporated rain protection.

All in all, this increase does not seem unreasonable to me. I'm currently waiting for my 16', layout 4 to be finished. It was ordered last Feb, was put into production on Sept 17th, and is scheduled to be completed the end of Oct or very beginning of Nov. This is an improvement  of about a month or six weeks from the original estimate, so it seems their new employees have made some dent in the backlog and will probably continue to improve it as they gain experience.

Finally, that price list from Ebay looks like a home made version. None that I have seen from Scamp are that neat. They are hand written, with the Eveland's Inc. logo on the top. This includes the working invoice I have for my new Scamp. Not saying it was a scam, just the seller's attempt to make it clearer, and a possible mistake?

None of this is gospel, but just my thoughts on the price increase and apparent discrepancies..

I can't vouch for the numbers

I can't vouch for the numbers, but the first sheet shown is what Scamp supplies a new owner for registration/sales tax purposes. We received a similar sheet last month for our new Scamp.

Just curious, did your price

Just curious, did your price breakdown match those on the pricing sheet they sent?  It looks to me like they had a fairly significant price increase in the last 12 months (10-15%+).

price

We ordered our 16' Deluxe in Aug 2017 so even though it is a 2018 model with some of the 2019 upgrades ours was priced from the 2017 list. Then again, who's on first?!

We requested and paid for the detachable power cord ($150) and 7 installed LED lights ($35). The upgraded door and the bicycle rear bumper receiver were no charge.
