Hello to all - very good to be here.
My name is Jo Ann and I live in Kalamazoo, MI. I purchased a 1984 16’ Scamp w/ the side bath one month ago today. And I’ve been lurking on these forums for a couple months now. Will post a few pics of the Scamp below. I’m planning a fairly extensive renovation: replace axel & brakes, caulk & paint ensolite lining, replace most all appliances, repair/upgrade wet bath & plumbing and electrical, add solar, re-upholstery and re-decorate and generally make it my own. My T.V. is a 2006 Toyota Highlander Hybrid.
The Scamp seems to be in fairly good condition for a trailer that’s 34 years old. It appears to have been stored inside, though it is dusty and needs a good deep cleaning. There is evidence some PO attempted to renovate earlier, leaving drill marks where none should be. I’ll learn to work with fiberglass and bondo to repair.
Want to say in advance, thanks for the great counsel and advice offered by the members of these forums. You have been a bounty of wisdom and experience already!!
Looking forward to collaboration along the journey and hopefully our meetings face-to-face in the future.
Glad to have you here Jo Ann. Looks like you found a Scamp with Good Bones! It will be fun to watch your progress and ask any questions along the way.
Oh and don't forget to get Scamping! Winter's coming.....

JoAnn: I am impressed with your willingness--and eagerness--to tackle such a big project. ENJOY!
Welcome to the forum. Looks like you found a well cared for trailer. Good luck with your resto.

Admirable woman, my hat is off to you! I took the opposite route - bought a 16' side dinette with all the changes that I would have made if I had any imagination, ambition or talent. Keep us posted with photo updates of your project camper.
