stain removers

Cleaners with oxcylic acid (sp) in it work great on stains. Boat hull cleaners like Y-10. A cheaper option is barkeepers friend which is very mildly abrasive. In most cases just placing the clearer on the stain will remove it. Apple cider vinegar is also used to remove oak tree stains.

I think Wal Mart sells it. I get mine from Ace Hwd.

3M Restorer

I use that as the first step of two step process. Use the 3M as a polish with orbital polisher and then you need to go over it with Meguiars Premium Marine wax. The Meguiars step most likely would have prevented the staining. Once the chalking is out with the 3M and polisher then you only need to apply the Meguiars going forward about twice a year.
