Does anyone have a GFCI outlet at the kitchen sink?

We have a 2017 16 Deluxe and I had been outside getting her ready for spring camping. I don't know why I thought about this now but noted that the electrical outlet at the Kitchen sink is NOT a GFCI outlet. Did Scamp goof and we should of had one originally or is that something others have had to add on there own later?

(The one located outside is GFCI so I know that is correct.)

I suspect the microwave and frig also live on that same circuit but can't think of a reason GFCI would be a problem with those two appliances.

Kitchen sink GFCI outlet

Mine is not, I'm not worried as much about the sink as I am about the stove. That is metal and grounded to the frame via the gas line. It is however much more important to have a GFCI for the out-side outlet. That one is a must.

GFCI

If your kitchen rec. is wired downline of a GFCI it is protected.  This may be the way they wired the circuit

Outlet

The outside GFCI is on a separate circuit from the one at the sink in our trailer.

Outlet

That kind of leaves us scratching our heads.  I will head out to the pole barn and check to see how ours is wired in the next day o two.  If it is the same I think I  will pick up a GFIC receptacle and put it in.  Thanks for making us aware of this.

My 2004 5th wheel has a gfci

My 2004 5th wheel has a gfci outlet on the door side, more than half way toward the back. Three other outlets inside are the regular kind (between the stove and the sink, across the isle on the side of the cabinet and inside the cabinets where the fridge plugs in). I am sure the thinking is that it matters outside, since you might be standing on wet ground in wet shoes, and get zapped if whatever tools you are using fail. Inside of the trailer you are pretty well insulated, all plumbing is Ptex and so it may not be recommended or required by codes.

One test I would recommend is to connect to shore power, trip the outside gfci and then test the other inside outlets. I would be surprised if they were daisy chained.
