fresh water tank, pipes

Hi, we went camping this past week and our water smelled awful. We have not been camping since June and our water was not drained and there was water in our fresh tank although we did not use the fresh water tank this time.  Actually the water in the fresh tank is from late April when i was getting it ready to go camping. So its been in there a long time. So i was figuring i would put Clorox in it and pump it through the system and leave it in there a day or so and then flush it out.  then get it winterized for the winter. So is there anything i am missing. Next time if it sits more then a few weeks i will drain the water and not let it fester inside the pipes and HWH.  Thanks,  Carl,  Oh, it is a 16'  scamp

Water odors

Most water odors come from the HWH in a Scamp. Besides sanitizing the system remove the HWH plug and flush the tank. More than likely white crud will flush out the tank. It helps to block up the trailer on the other side. Also a cleaning wand really helps flush the tank out.
